About the Central / Mid Coast Expedition

Backpacking

We backpack a specific high altitude section within Tweedsmuir Provincial Park, working our way to the Bella Coola Valley.  You will see spectacular scenery as you work your way along this three day backpacking section.  Once you reach the Bella Coola Valley bottom you will move to the Rafting section of the expedition.

Bella Coola River

Your second part of your expedition will see you paddle the entire length of the Bella Coola River.  You will paddle this portion of the trip from the beginning of the Bella Coola River from Fisheries Pool to the Bella Coola Estuary.  During this Class 2 River Raft you will see the Bella Coola Valley from start to finish, taking in world class scenery as you paddle this historic River.  This section of the trip will take the entire day and is a highlight of the trip while traveling through a number of bio-climatic zones and area's of historical importance.

Ocean Canoe Section

During your third and last section of your expedition will allow you to take in some of British Columbia's  most spectacular scenery.  Along this 3 day Ocean Canoe section you will camp and experience one of the most remote and isolated locations in British Columbia.  Along the way you will be able to see spectacular scenery including the opportunity to see humpback whales, bears, stellar sea lions, and other local wildlife.
